In which direction should a SPC floor be installed?
People always ask us this question.
Start by considering the light: What type of light dominates the room – artificial or natural light? The size and position of windows and light fittings, the direction the light travels across the room; all affect the perception of the SPC flooring.
As a general rule, install the floor in the direction of the incoming light. This creates the impression that the floorboards are drawing the light into the room, creating a bright and friendly space.
While, if a room already has sufficient natural light thanks to its large floor-to-ceiling window, then you could install the floor parallel to the direction of the main furniture in this room, such as the bed. So the room layout looks neat and simple, which creates a relax and warm feeling to people.
